Simple Online Marketing Guide

for Bands, Artists, Comedians, and Entertainers

This marketing guide assumes you’re making something and interested in connecting better with followers. I’ve had a music blog for a while and i’ve very familiar with the services available to artists, and obviously the best SEO strategy to make sure you’re being found.

Step 1. Get a Domain Name!

Step 2. Start a tumblr and setup your domain name to tumblr.

Step 3. Delete your myspace account, don’t look back.

Step 4. Make a Facebook/Twitter/youtube. Set them up with your Tumblr so that when you post an article, it goes to those accounts.

Step 5. Create a Bandcamp and upload your music, if you’re a comedian, upload to youtube.

Step 6. Delete all your other Sites

Okay so I’m not arguing with you or anything, but I want to know if Tumblr is really enough. I mean WordPress, I’ve heard gets pick up by Google search engines a lot easier and the endless possibilities you have with the wordpress plug-ins in my eyes, makes WordPress undeniable. So I just want to know because I’m about to start my musician blog up and want some more insight about this.

although I agree Myspace in general is very outdated and not relevant..somehow Myspace music pages are still very useful….
